AX – D365FO – Import records through Data Entity

Go in System Administration –> Data Management

Click on “Import”

Give a unique name to the import

Click on “Add file”

Choose a data entity

Create an excel file that has the same structure of the Data Entity staging table and fill it with the records you want to add into the target table.

Save the file

Upload the file

Click on “Close”

A new record will appear in the form

To start import just click on “Import now” or “Import in batch” if you want to run the job in batch
